We
dedicate our lives to art and photography. Our job is to capture the
ordinary and reveal the special moments. We grab a second in life or
a fleeting moment of design just to make it lasting. We bring past to
present and moments to lasting impressions.
We
are the visual writers, sharing with the viewers ordinary moments of
life (Documentary Photography) or compose photographic stories
(Portraiture, Fashion Photography).
Our
eyes are like tools, they enable us to see the hidden values and
stories creating impressions and feeling which are not obvious at the
beginning.
Have
you ever wonder who the person in that picture is?
We Are Photographers! is a project based around the idea of the identity and the way we perceive others, as well as exploring the relationship between Photographer, Model and Viewer.
With this project I decided to create body of work which shows the other side of our job.
I have asked 5 great photographers to pose for me and for once to be on the other side of the camera. We are all unique but in the same time I wanted to create a series of images as neutral as possible. Therefore I've asked them not to show any feelings, like smiling or 'playing' with the camera. It is a series of 5 color- passport style photographs, taken in the studio with a 5x4 view camera and a color negative film.
The
pictures of 'We Are Photographers!' came from my observation of life
and my fascination with other people's work.
This
project is dedicated to my friends and fellow photographers, who are
great inspiration to me.
Thank
you all!
